Customizing your Xbox 360!

Ok, you got your Xbox 360. You have become a master in Gears of War, Halo 3. And now you want to mod. Now, you wouldn’t want to break open your Xbox 360(if you already haven’t done so!) to Mod it. So, in this Article you will read about the Modifications you can do on your Xbox 360 without harming it-

XBOX 360 FACEPLATES-

This is a must buy if you want to customize your Xbox 360 and want it to look better than the rest.
A Faceplate usually costs 19.99$ that equals to Rs 800/- in Indian Currency. That is nothing for the amount of satisfaction you will get when you play on it. The Xbox 360 will seem happier and hipper. But it to make your Xbox 360 you.

Xbox 360 Controller Mod

Well, you already must have seen a lot of Xbox 360 Controller Mods. But, i bet you haven’t seen this one. This Xbox 360 Controller breaks all barriers and leaves you with a controller having one Analog Stick, 4 buttons and 2 side-buttons. Controllers like these for the Xbox 360 may not give you the best experience while playing but heck! They are just too Cool.

Xbox 360 Laptop Mod

Well, this is one you surely must not have seen. An Xbox 360 Laptop? And just in case you were wanting proof, have a look at the picture on the right. Yes, you saw it correctly. Someone is playing Halo 3 on the Xbox 360 Laptop. Well, hell lot of modifications had to be done on this before it actually looked as good as it is. This modification is not for the common guy(nor for the skilled) but only the experts. The Guy who made this(don’t remember his name surely did a lot of hard work) had been trying this for a lot of time and then, many more versions came up. He used a lot of work, used water coolers, lots of wiring and this one even has an HDMI output! This is the Ultimatum of Xbox 360 modding.
Use the keyboard to chat online on Xbox Live and use the Wireless Controller to play Call of Duty 4? Heck no! Use the mouse which you can attach to it and play as if it were a First-Person Shooter on PC!

Though I cannot tell you how to do the Laptop modding, I can provide the link through which you can do it. Nvidia Reveals Series 9 Card-

I had recently said that Nvidia Would soon be rolling out a Series 9 Card very soon . And guess what? They did so on the 21st of February. They unvieled the Nvidia 9600GT. The 9600 Gt is supposed the most powerful Mid-Range ard ever lauched by Nvidia. It performs 80% of the 8800GT which is a high end card.

It performs excellently on games such as Crysis, Call of Duty 4, Gears of War and other Games as well.

The Interesting thing here is that the price of Nvidia’s latest card cannot be termed mid-range. It should be in between the high and mid-range. At a price of 219$, you wouldn’t be calling it cheap. But, it is the cheapest card for Gaming enthusiasts who like to play in veru high-resolutions of upto 1080i.
For all Extreme Gamers, this is a must go if you want DirectX 10 and haven’t upgraded as of yet.
Another thing to be noted here is that we can now expect the prices of the 8 Series Cards to Drop. Remember, i had told you i would be getting a 8600GT/GTS? Forget it now. The 8800 GS is coming home to me now this April(after my exams in March AND the Indian Budget 2008).

Fixing Scratched Discs…..

Scratched your Favourite Xbox 360 Disc? Or probably your PS3/PS2 Disc? Why not the Game CD of your Favourite PC Game then?? Well, it happens to everyone. For those of you who support piracy(that excludes me) and use pirated versions, that is no big Deal. But, for those of you who have shelled out 50$ for a Game, it DOES MATTER.

So, it mattered to me. I searched the net high and low, but i found the answer in my bathroom! Yes, my BATHROOM. You can fix your Scratched Disc by using Toothpaste!
Want to know how?? Then read the following steps-

Take your Disc in your Palm and analyse how bad it is, how much you loved the game.
Wash your Disc with the tap on with low pressure.
Take some dry cotton and wipe the disc. IT IS IMPORTANT NOT TO PUT PRESSURE ON THE DISC.
Take a little bit of Toothpaste(any will do) on a small swab of Cotton.
Start wiping the Discs with the swab from the inside(important), that is from the center to the outer area.
Wipe it in a uniform manner all over the disc. Do this repeatedly until you feel the scratched have reduced(or you are too tired!).
Again-Wash your Disc with the tap on with low pressure.
And Again wipe the Disc with dry cotton(but from center to circumference).
Let it to dry for a few Minutes.
Try playing the Disc again.

What we have done here is that we have polished the scratches on the CD with toothpaste! So, while your DVD- Drive is trying to read it, it will not stop at the scratched and simple Glide over it!

Ninja Gaiden 2 Dated

After Microsoft’s keynote speech at the ongoing Game Developers Conference, we learnt that Team Ninja’s much awaited hack and slash-fest, Ninja Gaiden 2 will be released exclusively for the Xbox 360 on the 3rd of June 2008. Expect the game to hit Indian shores by the end of that month.

Ninja Gaiden 2 will chronicle the journey of Ninja Ryu Hayabusa as he seeks to prevent the destruction of the human race from evil forces and like its predecessor, the game will be insanely tough so only extremely patient and skilled gamers should apply.

New Cards on their way???

Hello Readers,

I Hope you have been saving up your money just as i told you.
Because Guess What??
The Ge-Force Series 9 will come out this February!!
Among those, Three Cards are expected- which include the earlier talked about 9600 and 9800.
However, This time dont expect a budget card in the 9600 such as we got in the 8600 of Nvidia’s Ge-Force 8 Series. Rumours have been going on that the Ge-Force 9600 might Cost upto 200$. So, We Indians can expect that the price of 9600 in India will be around 10,000. But, The Good News will be because of this. Since Nvidia will be Launching Ge-Force Series 9 on February 21 or February 28, it is all too obvious that the price of Nvidia’s Ge-Force Series 8 Cards such as 8600, 8800, 8500 and 8400 will drop, rather plummet. I have been saving up money around (170$) so i will be investing in a card surely now, and now i can say that it will be a good one.
So, Save all the money you can and if you have saved up(just like me), then be patient. Surely, i can get a 8600 GT with 512MB of DDR3 RAM right now, but i prefer not to. I want to be patient. I Want that 8600 GTS or the 8800 GT(which might be a dream).

Hey all readers,

What’s been happening? Anything New? Well….. no?? Well i have something to tell you today. But before that, Let me apologize first for not posting for so many days. Well, the reason is.. you may know at this time of the year i will have my exams in 2 weeks. So, i have been Studying for my exams. So what else have i been playing?? Well, i have been playing NFS Most Wanted and Commandos 2. Yeah, i know they are all old, but who cares?? It feels so good to play these games. Well, i don’t Have much to say right now but yes i can promise that surely i will publish a LOT of Articles about Extreme Gaming on the Xbox 360, PS3, PC and the Wii (Which i am not sure of) after my exams are over.

Yes, i will buy this baby aka 8600 GT/GTS after my exams presuming my exams go well. So, pray for me! And if you would like to tell me anything then please feel free to do so.
